Alexis A Rendel

Throughout my brief time at UCL, I have fully found a true sense of community within UCL Drama. From small shows to the Blooms, every member within this society shows a true dedication to the arts, and I want to make sure that every voice is heard, acknowledged, and that on the financial side, the Student Union pays the attention to us that we deserve. As treasurer, I will be proactive and attentive to the needs of every member and every show that is put through. I want encourage a constant stream of diversity within the shows that are bid and make sure that the committee and society as a whole reflects the student population at UCL. I promise to liaise with the Student's Union in a profession yet forthright way, ensuring that the money due to every show is granted and given on time. Furthermore, I want to budget in a way that allows for even smaller shows and more workshops to be put through so that UCL Drama can expand beyond the small shows, festivals, and Blooms, and encourage more collaborations with other societies at UCL. As Treasurer of UCL Drama, I want to encourage shows to go beyond the UCL community, facilitate outreach so that our production better reflect the UCL community, and ensure that every single member of UCL Drama feels appreciated and supported to make good and inspiring art whenever they have the opportunity.

Victor Ignat

I am writing to apply for the position of Treasurer in the UCL Drama Society. As a business enthusiast and former actor, and, of course, a dedicated member of the society, I believe I possess the necessary skills and experience to excel in this role.

As an undergraduate student majoring in Economics and Business, I have completed various courses in accounting, asset pricing, private equity, and investment management. I have also participated in business-related extracurricular activities, including the UCL Hatchery and the Asset Management Society. Through these experiences, I have gained a solid understanding of financial management and investment strategies.

I am constantly eager to learn new things and gain more experience, and, as a final-year student, this would be my first time applying to a society position. Nonetheless, given my experience so far with managing a business within the Hatchery I strongly believe I have the necessary experience of being a treasurer.

If selected for the position of Treasurer, I am committed to using my skills and experience to help the Drama Society achieve its financial goals. I will ensure that the society's funds are managed responsibly and transparently and that all financial reports are accurate and up-to-date. I will also work closely with the administrative team to develop investment strategies that align with the society's mission and objectives and create new and spectacular theatre plays!
