Drama Society: Head of Marketing and PR

Being the Fresher’s Representative of the Drama Soc this year has been extremely rewarding. For the past few months since I joined the committee, I was responsible for managing Drama Soc’s social media on Instagram. Therefore, I have already had experience in communicating with external parties as a representative of the society. With the established social media connections, I have successfully helped coordinate a few external workshops, building a stronger network for Drama Soc in the coming years. 

Other than being in the committee, I was also Assistant Producer for A Mid Summer Night’s Dream, this year’s Bloom’s show. I therefore have ample experience in administration, paper work, and a bit of graphic design. 

Coming forth, if I were to be elected as the head of marketing and PR, I would continue my role in the day-to-day management of our social media presence, as well as strive to maximise public reach of our society, increasing our audience base. 

Despite only having joined the committee in November, I have had a thorough understanding of the functioning of the committee and society as a whole, which I am confident will be helpful in increasing efficiency and avoiding PR risks.
