Delilah Magazine: Treasurer

Hi! I’m Ella (she/her), I study history, you might already know me as Delilah’s biggest Arctic Monkeys fan, and I’d love to be your treasurer!

I’ve loved writing plenty of gig reviews this year, as well as attending socials and meeting fellow music nerds. I'd love to take on more responsibility to give back to my favourite society, help increase our magazine’s engagement, and expand our community!

I believe I’m suited to the treasurer role as I was treasurer of the animal rights society at my previous university, so I’ve got experience handling a budget. My job in NHS admin has also given me experience with money-related paperwork.

• If elected, I would of course use the budget to continue the print magazine, as well as delving more into merch, because who doesn’t love a good tote bag and sticker.

• I think increasing the frequency of our socials will help us attract more brilliant writers and readers. Therefore, I would love to put on launch socials for our print releases so we can all celebrate our articles together, as well as organising more general year-round socials, such as the free gigs started by this year's committee.

• I would also like to organise events with other campus societies to help us expand our community.

• Also, as someone constantly on Spotify and therefore constantly on my phone, I will always be accessible to hear everyone's great ideas for our magazine, or just to chat!
