Adlina Kamal

Hi there! I am Adlina!

Data Science booming even more so now than ever.

As a frequent joiner of the weekly Python and ML Fundamental workshop, I found the DSS community to be extremely passionate and supportive regardless of your experience in data science!

I understand the barriers that people with no statistical/ programming background feel whenever they want to get a deep dive into this field. Hence, I am running for the Welfare Executive

My aim as a Welfare Executive for DSS:

  1. Making sure all members feel included regardless of their backgrounds and experiences.
  2. Give support to members who are struggling with any issues regarding society and signpost them to the right people.
  3. Supporting the committee and team as a whole!

Why I fit this role

  1. Empathy: I have a strong sense of empathy, and I am committed to creating a safe and supportive space for all members of our society, and I will work to ensure that everyone feels heard, valued, and supported.
  2. Communication skills: I have excellent communication skills, and I am comfortable communicating with a wide range of people. I am confident that I can effectively convey the needs and concerns of our members to the society's leadership and ensure that everyone's voice is heard.

Choose me, and let's create a world where data is accessible to everyone!✨✨

Edgar Tsang

I believe that as Welfare Officer, I will be able to help arrange events and through them, guide the members of the Data Science Society towards improvement of their wellbeing. Through my empathetic behaviour, I hope to be a reliable welfare officer who is the first point of contact when any issues rise whether personal or society related.
