Hi everyone! I’m Ellie, a second-year law student and it would be a privilege to be your scheduling officer!

Dance Soc provided an opportunity to reintroduce myself to dance; participating in both the 24-Hour Show and Triple Bill reminded me of the joy that dancing brings me and introduced me to lots of new people who have enriched my uni experience. I want to give back by being on the committee, and I believe my skills will enable me to be successful at the role.

ORGANISATION

As a law student, planning is second nature- there’s no better satisfaction than finding a schedule which involves everything being completed and gets me where I need to be! I’d mobilise this skill as scheduling officer, booking rooms as far in advance as possible to enable rehearsals and events to be allocated to rooms best suited to their purpose.

PROBLEM SOLVING

Appreciating that not everything always goes to plan, I would draw on my hospitality work experience- something which prepared me to think on my feet- to deal with last minute issues or requests. I’m never without my phone, so I’d be on hand to come up with solutions for any problems that emerge!

COMMITMENT

What inspires my passion for Dance Soc is the incredible people that are part of it. It would be a pleasure to communicate and find a schedule that best suit your needs. Whether that’s helping find a time that suits everyone’s availability, or a room that’s needed for a specific dance, I would love to work with you to achieve it.
