Cricket Club (Women's): Welfare Officer

Hiya! I’m Anusha and I would like to take on the position of Welfare Sec because I am passionate about bringing people together and creating a positive, inclusive atmosphere for this club. Although I have only been playing cricket for one year, I have a new found passion for the sport and this society. I have been very much involved in the both the sports and social side of the club over the course of this year. Through my prior community volunteering experiences, I have developed strong communication and leadership skills which will help me work effectively with my fellow committee members.

If elected, I want to continue the great work of the current committee in organising fun and wholesome welfare socials. Some ideas I have include a board games night, dance sessions, mini golf, museum trips and many more. I think it would be a good idea to present for example 3 different ideas on the groupchat as a poll to see what most people would be interested in before organising. Importantly, I hope to be a point of contact for anyone having a personal or club concern and to be able to help them through support, advice and directing to the appropriate services. I believe my positive, approachable nature makes me perfect for this role. Overall, I have a pro-active and resilient attitude and I strongly believe I have the passion, creativity and teamwork skills to take on this position.
