Christian Union Society: Curious Officer

I am standing for this position because the Curious talks that I attended this year have played a huge role in my faith journey. They have helped me to understand how my faith is applicable in society today and provided an excellent opportunity to get to know the Christian community on campus. It would be an honour to support Christians on campus in a similar way but also to provide a safe space for non-Christians to ask questions about the faith. This academic year I have helped to organise iNUGSC 2023, an international surgical conference, which required me to contact and maintain positive relationships with surgeons - this has helped me to develop my organisational skills. I have also helped to organise and taken part in the freshers events at my Church, which taught me how to create a welcoming environment in a religious setting. I believe that these skills will help me successfully run Curious and support the CU in its mission of making Jesus known on campus.
