Chinese Students and Scholars Association Society: Head of Entertainment

I am standing for the position of head of entertainment because I am passionate about creating engaging and memorable experiences for people. As someone who understands the power of entertainment to inspire and uplift people, I believe that I would be an excellent fit for this role.

In addition to my passion for entertainment, I also have a great deal of experience in organizing and executing events. I have worked on several projects in the past that required careful planning and coordination, from small parties to larger community events. I have developed a keen eye for detail and a talent for troubleshooting, which would be essential skills for anyone working in the entertainment industry.

Furthermore, I have a strong desire to contribute to the community and make a positive impact on people's lives. I believe that entertainment can be a powerful force for good, bringing people from different backgrounds together and creating a sense of connection and belonging. 

Overall, I am standing for the position of head of entertainment because I am passionate, experienced, and committed to creating meaningful experiences for people. I believe that I have the skills and vision necessary to excel in this role, and I look forward to the opportunity to contribute to the success of this organization.

Over the past six months in the Entertainment Department, I have gradually learnt about the inner workings and workflow of the department. We were responsible for the Fresherland, Halloween Party, Singles' Party, Boat Party, Chinese New Year Party, and the collaboration with HD Life for the Electric Festival. We have also published a lot of articles about our activities and events so that more UCL students can participate in our activities.In the coming year, I plan to continue our collaboration with HD life and Sugar karaoke to launch more innovative events, such as various themed karaoke sessions, so that students with the same interests can get to know each other. This will not only expand our social circle but also enrich our after-school life and make it less boring. In terms of working with HD life, we want to introduce more interesting themed parties that are not just limited to holiday parties, and to combat the phenomenon of selling tickets at a high price. I would also like to organise more reunions to improve the relationship between members and make us closer so that we can work together better. I would also like to organise a few more events with other departments, such as Chinese events with the Culture Department and events with the Sports Department to keep students fit and entertained at the same time. I am sure that if I become the minister, I will do my best to achieve my plans and lead the Recreation Department to new heights.
