Zhenya Robinson

Hey everyone! Once again I am here to nominate myself for President at the incredible, fantastic Cheese Grater Magazine. I was put in this position rather unexpectedly half way through this academic year and did not realise what passion I have for extensive administrative work. While I am aware being in 3rd year and being President is a challenging job, my not so challenging Geography degree allows for an almost complete focus on the Cheese Grater and making sure everything runs as smoothly as possible.

I started my first year with this society and have developed a strangely strong pride in our work, our hardworking team and our incredible IOE bar socials. As President, I want to make us a bigger, more known and a better-funded society. Because where else will an £8 membership get you a chance to do investigative, satirical and feminist journalism as well as writing and performing comedy in front of a crowd. We have it all.

I love working with our committee (and being called Madame President at meetings) and I hope to make this society a safe, fun space that it has been for me over my time at UCL. I’m excited to see what the next year will look for us and I hope I can be the one to lead us to our deserved Grateness (im sorry).
