I am standing for Welfare Officer because I think I would be really effective in the role in helping the members of UCLBC. I am really passionate about the Boat Club and its members and I think this role on Committee would be where I can help the most. I am excited to bring into place some new initiatives for the Boat club such as a Thursday afternoon Welfare 'Office Hour' so members can access me in person as well as digitally (through Facebook Messenger or WhatsApp) for any issues or just to chat. Welfare is an issue that is close to my heart especially in its role in supporting inclusivity and environmental initiatives and I would love to be UCLBC's Welfare Officer next year :).
