I am born into a long-standing dynasty of social secretaries, being son to the one and only Katie the Matie Taylor and the legendary Danyal the Manyal Warsop. Stepping into their huge footprints will be everything but easy, but I am sure that the skills that were given to me by birth from these two memorable social gods will help me pursue their mission further and make our socials compete with theirs.
Ever since I joined the Boat Club, I was very passionate about rowing, although never having had rowed before. I now reached a point at which rowing consumes a far bigger part of my time and energy than my degree, a state that I do not regret at all. My qualifications: I am passionate, always open to new ideas, definitely never on time, social (well, hopefully) and if there was an award for the most nights at scala I would be the uncontested winner without doubt.
Prepare yourself for a year of socials that combines the legendary status of the flat parties at the Davies-Warsop-Bistro (ly) house with the totally reasonable excesses of the unforgettable boat ball. I would love to have another memorable year with you all and contribute to the club that already did so much for me. I stand for a close inter-squad relation, unforgiving punishment for playing bad music on the coach to out-of-town races, the establishment of a Germany vs Brexit four race and obviously the superiority of rowing in every regard.
