Boat Club (RUMS): Treasurer

Hey everyone!

I’m Paweł and I’m running for treasurer this year! This is a role I would be very eager to undertake in my next year with the boat club. I know I would enjoy this role, and think me holding it could benefit the club. Firstly, from my time as a student representative in first year as well as from activities I partook in in school, I believe I have the leadership skills and experience that are necessary to performing the role of treasurer to a high standard. This could be further supported by my membership on the club’s committee this year as secretary, a role I have thoroughly enjoyed, and which convinced me beyond doubt that going into next year I wanted to remain on the committee. Furthermore, I would apply my skills of working with other committee and club members as secretary to being treasurer, as both roles are reliant on good communication with other committee members to achieve a successful outcome together. 

If elected I will:

• Diligently monitor spending in order to maximise club resources and to be able to distribute said resources where necessary and most needed.
• Cooperate closely with the president and rest of committee to ensure a smooth running of the club over the course of the year.
• Prioritise listening to club members and bringing their ideas for improvement of the club to the committee to be discussed and hopefully implemented, to ensure the club can develop into what the members wish for it to be.
