Ella Watharow

I am running for maintenance officer because I believe I have a combination of practical boat knowledge and a hard work ethic that would make me a valuable member of the committee. Over the past year I have developed a passion for rowing and have become genuinely interested in how the boats are maintained and organised. I have rigged boats on several occasions and have also helped out with boat repairs. I have previously driven the trailer to races so will be able to help out logistically if needed.  

If elected, as well as checking equipment, keeping logs up to date, ordering new equipment and liaising with coaches, I will run a maintenance induction before the start of term for novice rowers, and make sure the boat bay is cleaned at at least every fortnight.  I will also write a weekly summary of boat issues and what action has/needs to be taken.
