As president of the society my mission would be to inspire, prepare and empower the thought leaders of tomorrow, whether they are budding behavioural scientists or just curious about the industry! Whilst undertaking UCL’s Cognitive and Decision Science masters, I also work for a behavioural analytics company and have published articles for The Decision Lab. As BIS president I would leverage both my knowledge of the applied behavioural science (BeSci) industry and the theoretical understanding of the key principles I have gained from my studies. This unique position will be invaluable in understanding what is required of the budding behavioural scientists within the society, and ultimately imparting them with the necessary skills they need to succeed! Having graduated with a first in Mathematics, my journey into BeSci hasn't followed the most stereotypical route. As BIS president I would bring together students of all backgrounds to spark the type of cross-discipline innovation that was used to create this field! Having been actively involved in the society this year as Nudgeathon Co-Director, I have picked up a strong network of contacts within the industry. If I were to take up role of BIS president, I already have many people in mind for seminars and workshops. Through my network, I hope to facilitate job acquisition for members of the society. On a final note, I have absolutely loved watching this year’s seminars and have thoroughly enjoyed spending time with like-minded people. As an ongoing goal I want to actively
