Basketball Club (Men's): President

Hi guys, just writing to nominate myself as UCLMB President for next year

Some things I've enjoyed doing with the club:

- helping run tryouts at the start of the year

- leading the UCL mens team in the Les Parisiennes tournament 

- captaining 2nd team 

- helping organise and taking part in team socials

and some ways I would hope to see the club grow next year:

- more integration between teams, between competitive and social players, and with the womens club as well

-some organised pickup sessions

- more socials

- more wins, of course :)

As your treasurer for this academic year, I believe it is time for me to step up to the role of President. I am thrilled to present my manifesto outlining my vision for the future of the club.

• I believe in the importance of inclusivity and diversity within our club. I will work towards creating an environment where everyone feels welcome and valued, regardless of skill level by planning monthly socials. I will strive to create a safe space where individuals can express themselves freely. 

• Everyone has the potential to improve therefore I will ensure that we provide the necessary resources to support the growth of our members.

• I plan to increase our club’s visibility within and beyond the university community. By playing more games, we can showcase the talent and dedication of our members. I will also work on building stronger relationships with other societies and external companies to facilitate collaborations and sponsorships.

• I believe that communication is key. As President, I will ensure members are well-informed about upcoming events, training schedules, and important club-related matters. I will encourage feedback and suggestions from members and strive to create an open and transparent culture within the club.

To conclude, I am committed to leading the basketball club with passion, integrity, and inclusivity. I believe that I can build a thriving and successful community that excels on and off the court.
