Election post
I really enjoy the inclusive and mutually supportive environment of the Aikido Club. Even with just a relatively short time of training, i already feel a great sense of belonging to the club. Hence, I hope to dedicate myself to not just maintain this harmonic environment but also pay a role in promoting the club to other students as part of the committee team.
I am running for the role of President particularly because of the recent incident of last-minute cancellation of our room booking by the TeamUCL. I hope my opinion is just exaggerating, but I have to admit that I felt sort of unfairness towards the club from this incident. I really hope to contribute to improving such condition with better, more equal communication with TeamUCL and Student Union, and I believe this is what only the president of the club could do.
I also have confidence in my ability as a student leader as the bridge between our instructor, student union and club member from my past experience of both a section leader and vice chairperson of my high school wind band, and a student leader for a community care team of Hong Kong Red Cross.
