Ever since I was selected as the Events Executive for the Women’s Engineering Society, I have been able to generate new event ideas and connect with people from a variety of backgrounds. Working with the committee and being put in charge of an event proved to me that I am skilled at coming up with and planning excellent events for the students at UCL. I would be truly grateful if I get the chance to work more closely with the committee as an Events Manager whereby I can lead more events.

Establishing the Computer Science Society at my high school and leading team projects at university have made me a great team leader. I am approachable and good at understanding my team’s wants and needs. Being punctual and meticulous, as I am, will allow me to connect well with the Student Union to support our society. Women in tech are certainly in minority. Hence, I will collaborate with my team to plan programs that encourage and motivate women wanting to pursue a job in STEM. However, the events will not be limited to just females; they will be inclusive for all UCL students.

I assure you I will work hard at promoting engineering as a field to be interested in by preparing exceptional events for the society members. We will put together events to enhance the students’ academic performance and personal development.
