Election post

I wish to contribute towards creating an enjoyable experience for future members of the society. I believe that I am a compelling candidate for this specific position as I possess all the qualities required to be a good leader and President of UCL Review.

During schooling, I’ve constantly engaged with my school community by taking up leadership positions like being the Cultural Secretary, MUN Student Representative and the Head Girl of the student council. All of these roles helped develop effective leadership skills like planning, event organisation and management, taking initiative, delegating to and supervising team members, etc.

As an aspiring Life Sciences researcher, I’m deeply passionate about academia and science communication. I work as a peer reviewer as part of UCL’s student led journal, Bioscience Horizons. I hope to leverage the knowledge and the experience from that role while working alongside other’s in the committee, during my time as President.

I’m an outgoing person with strong interpersonal and communication skills. My experiences with public speaking and debate have honed my ability to communicate both professionally and casually as and when the situation calls for. I’m also currently working a part time job as ‘Presenter’ at Elevate Education which is rooted in engaging public speaking and crowd control.

I hope my skills and my personality can bring something exciting to next year’s UCL Review committee.
