Ever since I joined the Music Society, I've realised the vibrancy and enthusiasm of its talented members. And among the many smaller ensemble communities that stem from the Music Society family tree, the symphony orchestra has proven itself to be great fun. From the occasional outbursts of laughter amidst the wind section, the wave of outrageously loud page flips in the strings, to the projection of intense passion from the entire orchestra, I've grown to appreciate all our weekly rehearsals.

If only we could convey those little moments a little better in our performances. The moments that make our rehearsals not just a practice session but also a gathering of eager musicians.

As Symphony Orchestra Manager, my main goal will be to convey our passion and joy through our concerts more effectively. We can start by exploring new venue options. From there, we can begin exploring more innovative and daring ideas, such as projecting a light show along with the music or building elaborate stage props to convey our concert theme more effectively. Secondly, I will also change how we advertise performances to ensure that every concert is packed. Projects such as concert trailers, live streaming, and social media adverts will be priorities.

Overall, I hope to make performing a truly remarkable experience for society members and audience listeners. It would be a great honour for me to create this kind of change with all of you. I'm excited for our future endeavours!
