I am standing for social secretary because I think that societies are the epicentre of social life at uni, therefore I would really enjoy the opportunity to be an integral part of one of the committees. I have applied for the music society committee because I really enjoy being part of the Chamber Choir, and it has helped me to integrate into University life whilst also enjoying singing with the choir.
I am keen for there to be more social events in the music society next year, and I would make sure to organise some events earlier in the year to get to know other members of the society and to help new members to integrate into the society. For example, a pub crawl, a ball and some parties, maybe even with a theme?! I would also be very open to suggestions for events!
I have experience organising large social events, as I organised a charity fashion show when I was in sixth form. This involved coordinating lighting, music, models and charity donations, among other things to successfully raise £4,000 for charity. I am very organised and really enjoy putting together events. I also just really love socialising, and am usually the one to suggest and organise for my friends to get together, finding fun things to do and making sure we all stay connected.
Hi, I’m Isaac!! I am a first year but am very involved in the music society and would love for you to consider me as one of your new Social Sec’s.
I want to arrange more music society socials to not only encourage the societies to mingle more, but also because not many have been organised so far this year at least and a large part of Uni is about having fun, so, as one of the social secs, it would allow me to arrange events and get togethers for everyone to hopefully have fun. So vote for me!! :)
I would wanna do curry nights - list nights - music-themed costume parties?? Idk I'm open to all ideas, but mainly, I and whoever else is voted in will just try to organise a few fun things each term.
