What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

As the LGBQ+ officer last year, I believe I have the leadership skill needed to lead a discussion with UCL's management team, as demonstrated in the meeting with the provost and LGBT+ network. I will use my negotiation skills to campaign for changes to improve LGBT+ life at UCL. I also believe I am well versed in organising fun and enriching events, including hosting external organisations and speakers. Some of my favourites include queer sex-ed workshops and famous speakers such as Yasmin Benoit! We look forward to making your time at UCL to be both fun and educating.11111111

What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

After a certainly eventful year at UCL, I hope to use the organisation and leadership skills I've agined throughout the year to further address the Stone Wall situation. I look forward to holding the provost up to all the promises he made and regularly following up with the progress. I also appreciate the value of open communication between the management and the student body, I aim to keep it open through webinars, town halls and weekly newsletters. Our goal will always be for UCL to rejoin stonewall scheme and will not stop fighting until it happens! Trans rights are human rights!

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

I believe students should vote for me because I'm more than dedicated to fighting injustice on campus. I'm ready to put my everything into pushing UCL to rejoin stonewall, campaigning for the rights of trans students and staff, as well as making campus life more accessible for LGBT+ students. The past year as LGBQ+ officer really opened my eyes to many areas that UCL has not done good enough in, like the preferred name and pronoun system; and I have never been more prepared to identify those areas and improve them efficiently. I aim to be open on all issues and share this journey with you!
