The Female Lead Society: Treasurer

Hi everyone!

I'm Christina and I'm a second year PPE student. For the past year, I have been working on the committee as treasurer. During that time, I have not only been organizing events (we may have met at the Tote Bag Painting event or the Welcome Fair ? ) and managing the society finances, but most of all I saw first-hand how important the work is that we are doing! I would love to put my experience and passion to use and built on the foundations we have set this year at UCL The Female Lead. 

In the coming year, I would like to broaden our event options further by increasing our funding for example through grants and external sponsors. I would also love to continue to be involved in the planning of events: Among other things, I would like to introduce a literature circle to discuss feminist books and essays, and organize a science slam.

Being part of the Female Lead Society has been a great opportunity for me to learn about and work on feminist issues that are important to me. From inequality of education to period poverty and the entitlement gap, I am excited to continue tackling feminist challenges with all of you throughout next year!
