Hi! This is Ivy, the most ENERGETIC speaker in UCL Communication Society! I am running for the position of the welfare and mentorship officer because I want to help everyone to be better at giving speeches via valuable evaluations.

This academic year, I have been an active member of UCL Communication Society, during which I have been voted twice to be giving the best quick-fire speech. I myself has also been taken part in the speech mentorship programme and I found myself beneficial from it. Therefore, I want to popularise it so that more students can get their public speaking skills improved. 

When it comes to public speaking skills, I have attended several speech competitions in the past as well as receiving several rewards, before the pandemic, but my public speaking skills went through a dormant period because of the restriction for social activities at the start of my university life. Now as I am going to become a final year student, I want to make up for the missed time that I should spend with giving speeches!
