Jintong Yan

Hi, everyone! I am Jintong Yan, an undergraduate major in psychology with education. I am nominating myself for the position of President for CTPC. I am honoured to be a current member of the painting and calligraphy club. With the love for Chinese traditional culture, I have always had a great passion for calligraphy.

Starting from a very young age, I have solid basic writing skills and master three styles of writing: Zhuanshu, Lishu, Kaishu. Last year, I finally became a member of Nanjing Young Calligrapher's Association (Qing Shu Xie). I never stop learning and I believe "practicing makes perfect". Apart from calligraphy, I also have some knowledge about seal carving and successfully gave a presentation in the first term. I am eager to share more with the members.

I joined the society as soon as I first saw it in the Welcome Fair. After a semester of participation, I have a good understanding of the activities of the club and I believe I have the ability of organizing as well as teaching. I really look forward to working with my colleagues to make the club better and better in the future and trying our best to spread Chinese culture!

Yifei Wang

Hello, everyone! My name is Yifei Wang. I am from China and have practiced calligraphy for many years, since my elementary school. I have been in this society for a whole school year and I enjoy coming to practice calligraphy with everyone every week. I think this society is meaningful, allowing people from different parts of the world to practice calligraphy and exchange Chinese traditional culture. If I am successfully elected, I will do my best to get more people to join this society and help more people learn calligraphy. It doesn't matter if I don't get elected, my love for this society has nothing to do with what the job title is. Looking forward to practicing calligraphy with you all! Thank you for your time!
