Bulgarian Society: Vice President

Hello everyone,

I am Daniela Vladimirova (a second year student). I have lived in Bulgaria all my life since university and I have always celebrated all bulgarian holidays and traditions.

My main goal is to make the society more active. I will do my best to make sure we all continue to follow the bulgarian traditions even from here. We will:

- Celebrate Easter with colorful eggs and Kozunak

- Make Christmas dinner

- Celebrate main Name days and National Holidays!

- Give traditional martenici for Baba Marta

- I am passionate and motivated to organize events by having many ideas for further meetings!

For example : Belot nights and tournaments

                       Bulgarian movies/ TV realities/ shows nights ( The Bachelor)

Hey everyone! I am Danilo and I would love to be your Vice President for the amazing Bulgarian Society! I have been part of the committee this past year (2021–22) as Welfare Officer, so I think I will be a great link with helping the next generation of the Bulgarian Society, and I have loved meeting all of you and learning so much about Bulgarian language and culture! I have also been on the committee of a lot of societies, meaning that I have a lot of experience with running societies and I am very passionate about this beautiful country and the amazing language and want to help make the society the most enjoyable for all members! 

Things that I would love to do next year: 

Organise Bulgarian lessons in the society, so that non-Bulgarians can learn the language and those fluent in the language have the opportunity to teach (and put it on their CVs!)  

Organise regular socials (such as clubnights, pub socials, quizzes, lunches, picnics, cook-offs and many more!) so that members can have fun and make friends with other Bulgarians and people interested in the Bulgarian language and culture! 

Create a buddy system so that those in first year can have an elder mentor to help them navigate university and London ? 

Support the welfare officer in making sure that all students feel supported and happy in UCL and the society

Help solve any problems if any issues arise 

Be there for all members of the society!
