Jai Sidpra

Hey! I’m Jai and I’d love to be your RUMSBC Men’s Senior Captain. Boatclub has been a massive part of my life throughout my time at UCL - having always taken an active part in both the rowing and social side of the club. As men’s captain, I would aim to build off of the exciting platform that we have built as a squad this year, incorporating more small boat work and more water time with double outings and optional outings where possible. I would also aim to organise coached sessions to maximise the technical feedback we get with each session. In terms of fitness, I would be keen to organise group ergs, in addition to continuing to run circuits, run club, and to provide the squad with individualised training plans so that athletes can focus on what is most beneficial to them. The social side of RUMSBC is a super important side of the club and I would seek to liaise with the social secs to organise men’s socials and more crew meals. Having rowed for eight years, been in both M1 and M2, and won UH in 2020, I believe I have what it takes to be Men’s Captain and I can’t wait to see you on the water and in the Huntley next year!
