I am running for secretary again because I believe I can bring a lot to this role, I have experience in making agendas and minutes that I will be able to put to good use, to help the boat club run well. And I pledge to do just that; make sure the club runs smoothly, while assisting the president and committee with any tasks they may want help with, in order to aid the club as a whole. I would love to be able to do this role as a way of helping the boat club run, as since the start of an amazing first year here a lot of people very kindly did a lot to make sure my fresher year in the boat club was incredibly enjoyable, and I can only hope for a role on committee next year to be able to work towards giving back to that warm welcome. I have become very invested in the boat club over my first year here at university and know that if I am elected to this role I may deepen my understanding of the club and allow me to commit more of my time to the activity that I love. Furthermore, this role will give me the necessary skills and experience to prepare for further leadership positions in the club, which I would be extremely excited to be a part of in my later years at uni!  Therefore, I believe the experience, keen attitude to the role as well as my general honest appreciation for the boat club make me a suitable candidate for the role, and hope you think so too!
