Being Vice-President of Bioethics and Medical Law Society this year has given me an insight into how the society runs at every level. I worked directly with the President throughout the year, launched the Bioethics Discussion Group (BDG) and worked with the ThinkBloomsbury team. I wish to take on this role to help further grow the society next year.

I have experience running a society as President of MedTech UCL 2020/21. During this time I doubled the committee size, launched several new initiatives which are now annual events, tripled our social media following and organised the flagship AI in Medicine Conference, one of the largest of that year. This has allowed me to gain experience planning events, working with a large committee and not just creating a vision for the year but also executing that vision to see tangible results.

I have lots of ideas for growing the society next year such as: 1. Increasing the number of in person talks as well as the range of topics covered 2. Creating a sponsorship package to further expand the society and its activities 3. Hosting more regular BDGs and strengthening the society community 4. Developing ThinkBloomsbury by growing its online presence and written content by getting a team of in-house writers 5. Providing more practical information to our members about how to get into the field of Bioethics and Medical law.
