Basketball Club (Men's): Treasurer

Having been part of the basketball club this year allowing me to meet some great people and make great memories, I am very committed to contribute to the further development of the club which is why I am applying for the role of treasurer as well. I am a good communicator which I believe is important for any and all roles on the committee and have past experience with financial oversight of clubs/events as I was responsible for the funding and book keeping of smaller charity events in my high-school as I was a part of the student council. 

After an amazing experience with the 2nd team this year, I want to contribute even more towards the club and nominate myself as treasurer. I have experience at the treasurer position and in the world of finance management, being a treasurer of my schools’ student board during my penultimate year at school and also having completed a finance spring week last year at Citibank. Besides providing all of my efforts to manage the money of the club in the best way possible, I hope to work together with the president, VP and other committee members to organize as many fun events as possible and provide funding to new ideas or training / playing venues that would improve the club even further and help us play the best level of basketball possible. Hi! I'm Daniel, currently a first-year Pharmacy student. I would like to be the treasurer for the Basketball club in the next academic year. Having previous experience and insight in terms of budgeting and finance handling at my one-month internship at Deloitte China's Foundation department, providing administrative support to organise their annual event, I believe I am suited for this role.

If elected, I will be working closely with the committee, making sure the funds of the society are managed efficiently so that you will be able to get your membership's worth.
