Barbell Club: Treasurer

Being a student really opens up a new world of managing money, budgeting is crucial and stretching the student loan could be an olympic sport for some. Doing a Maths degree I face numbers every day and frankly understand them better than English. Along with a background in economics I know the importance of money and have a strong grasp of the responsibility I would be undertaking as a treasurer. The role of a treasurer combines two of my passions - the barbell society and maths; proving I would be ideal for the role and truly have the clubs’ interests at heart. I’m confident in my ability to handle money on behalf of the club and will do my best to see barbell flourish. I want people to feel safe and assured on how their money is being handled, I promise to look after the finances and be transparent at all times.

Barbell has been a big part of my university experience so far, and I want to ensure that others are able to gain as much, if not more, than I have.
