Marie Anne Lise Tan

As a passionate baker and avid food lover, I eagerly started sharing my bakes and food adventures on social media since I was 14 and have not looked back! I believe we always eat with our eyes first and as the Baking Society’s Publicity/Social Media Officer, I am eager to share tempting pictures and reels that showcase all the amazing bakes that our members have to offer! I would love to start a “Get to Know the Baker” series on our social media page for our talented bakers to share their recipes and stories with others. Bakers could also occasionally ‘take over’ the social media page and share the behind the scenes of their bakes. This would greatly encourage a more personal and lively baking society where we can share tips and ideas as a society. I will also work closely with the Events Officer to plan cake crawls and potential social media giveaways sponsored by local bakeries or farmer’s markets to share with our members all the delicious bakes that London has to offer! Social media is also often the first point of contact that potential members have with the society and I am committed to take on the creative responsibility to publicise and create a space that celebrates our delicious creations and encourages more people to join in our love for baking.  If all this does not make you giddy with excitement, I do bake a pretty delish miso chocolate chip cookie that would surely convince you to vote for Anne as your next Bakesoc publicity officer!
