Asiatic Affairs Society: President

Hello!

This is Baran Ayguven, I am studying foundation to continue with politics and IR and I am running for the presidency of the Asiatic affairs society. 

As a member of the society, I did participate in writing articles and going to the Tuesday event which made me want to be a part of this amazing society and help to grow it.

Why do I think I am suitable for this position

From my early years, I have experience in organizing conferences like MUN and representing my high school for visiting ambassadors 

I participated in a lot of diplomacy related events outside of UCL like in Council of Geostrategy, Pinsker Instıtue, Middle East Treaty Organisation, and others, and with the network that this is giving me I believe that 

What is my plan as President 

I am planning to open a YouTube channel to expand our event to different platforms to reach a bigger public

I am planning to ask for our university professors who are researching our society-related subjects to attend our weekly talks to give us theşr insights on related subjects.

I am planning to make visits to Asian country's embassies to create a good network for our members.

I am also planning to make panels in business and politics-related people who are successful in their jobs and can give their perspective on career opportunities in Asia.
