Asian Social Network Society: Publicity Officer

Growing up as a British Born Chinese, I have the pleasure of being able to communicate with a wide range of diverse communities. Despite the difficulties of having 2 different identities, such as not knowing where I fully belong, I believe that these experiences will allow me to help and connect with fellow students of the society.

Previously, I explored the topics 'identities, heritage and culture', as part of my work for A-level art. This has not only helped me to developed my creativity skills but also organisation abilities, both of which contributes to make me the ideal candidate for this position. As publicity officer, I hope to share my creativity digitally. Additionally I also aim to make the social media platforms more interactive and comfortable, as a way for members of the society to connect virtually as well as in-person events. As a commuter myself, I understand the difficulties of not being able to make in-person events but still want to be involved in the ASN society. Therefore on platforms such as discord, I aim to add the following:

-Creating VCs (Voice Chat) for either both studying or fun/games.

-More specified chats to make friends, finding people with similar hobbies, interests and are in the same course as you.
