Harrie Chung

Hi Everyone, I am Harrie! I'm a History of Art student who will be a Third-year in the next academic year. I would like to express my interest in applying for the role of Treasurer as part of the Art Business society committee. Last academic year, I worked as a Treasurer in History of Art Society, and I became more fascinated by the commercial parts of art by co-creating various events with the Art Business Society. Attending lots of events organised by ABS, listening to stories about the people in the art field, and meeting and talking in person has led to a deep sense that the commercial role of art directly affects the general public. In addition, ABS's iconic mentoring programme served as a significant opportunity to get in close contact with people in the field and gain knowledge of it. I will do my best to carry out this fantastic project. From curators, auctioneers and cataloguers, I am enthused by the opportunity to create and expand the connection to more fertile fields such as art law, NFT and art investment. I believe my former experience as a Treasurer will contribute positively to the ABS to work more smoothly and actively. Simultaneously, I aim to provide a broad experience to members with an expanded field related to the art business.
