Armenian Society: Treasurer

Hey!

I'm Anahit, a proud Armenian and a second-year undergraduate student on Population Health and Data Science course here at UCL. I was born and raised in Armenia and came to London for the purposes of education. I think nationality is a huge part of our individual identity, from our unique language and history to traditional dances and cuisine. Thus, it is important for us to keep our culture alive and connect with each other even in a country with a relatively smaller Armenian diaspora like the UK. 

It was my deepest pleasure to be a part of this society since the start of my studies. I met and connected with a lot of Armenians and people interested in Armenia, while our gatherings always felt like a moment back from home. So, thank you guys a lot for that.

That said, I would love to have the opportunity to contribute to our society as your next treasurer.

My combined love for my culture and finance drew me to this role. I believe I have the skills needed to be a great treasurer and would love to further improve my existing skillset.

Furthermore, from a young age, I have been attending Armenian school and dance and this have helped mould me into the person that I am today. I believe that by being part of this society’s leadership team I can begin my steps in the direction of giving back.
