Aikido became irreplaceable part of my life since I started training it when I was 12. For next 6 years I was actively engaged in trainings and events organised by the club like public trainings to advertise the club and  trainings with highly graded senseis. Throughout those years I familiarised myself with aikido etiquette and club management and grew interested in getting more involved into the club’s life from the management side. However, I stopped training in my high school exams’ year and have not re-joined the club when the covid-19 pandemic. In this academic year I joined UCL’s Aikido Club and quickly became engaged with club’s life. As I spent almost half of my life training aikido I believe that I will make an excellent treasurer. I will be able to combine my experience gained throughout the years of training with my ambition to help running the club. Architecture course that I am studying at UCL provides and improves qualities necessary for the treasurer’s position for instance: diligence, cooperation in a team, working in tight deadlines and ability to persuade. If I get the position of the treasurer I will manage the club’s money wisely and take care of the insurance for the members. If the opportunity appears I will organise and manage finances for the aikido trips. It will be an honour to become a part of the committee, shape the life of the club and engage actively in the club management.
