Emma Cheung
Hi everyone, I’m Emma, and I’m running for General Secretary this year:)
Having joined most ABACUS events this year, I look forward to upholding the society’s reputation and overseeing the production of its merchandise. As a member of my high school Tycoon Enterprise project, I managed our Instagram account to increase publicity and social media presence by 30%. I also strived to provide the best for the team by supporting every stage of the project - for example, taking part in designing and liaising with multiple vendors. Such experiences make me well-equipped to serve as ABACUS General Secretary.
Social media plays a big role in how ABACUS manages its networking efforts, and I hope to bring it to the next level by tapping on my aforementioned experiences. For example, by creating frequent and engaging networking content for our different platforms (such as Instagram, Facebook and Whatsapp), I believe that we will not only be able to improve communication with our members but reach out to potential new members in a comprehensive recruitment campaign.
I intend to give my all to promoting ABACUS, albeit not being a fully-fledged Instagram influencer. I look forward to serving as your General Secretary, and working with the rest of the committee. See you all at the events soon!
