Election post

Elected
What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

As a resident at Goldsmid, all of us understand the shortcomings that prevent us from utilising the opportunity to live in this culturally, academically, and socially diverse atmosphere. If elected to be hall representative, I would implement the following:

  • Use the open space to host outdoor events when the weather permits
  • Conducting short trips in Victoria for people to get to know each, discover more about the neighbourhood, and get a chance to just relax
  • Conduct a quick workshop for anyone who moves in after term starts to help with adjustment
  • Host talent nights for hall residents
What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

I have had experience in managing events, leading groups, and working in teams through different avenues. I believe I have the skills necessary to be a good hall representative and ensure that we can make the very best of Goldsmid. I am a multitasker and I know how to prioritize tasks to fulfil them seamlessly. I am confident and can communicate well at both, an individual and a team level. This is imperative to make our voice heard at meetings, to establish a well connected environment in the hall, and to make sure everyone can come up and talk to me about their worries easily.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

I think I am well suited to this role and willing to work with everyone. I am very friendly and believe in the sense of a community. Above all, I am approachable and open to feedback. This will ensure that we make most of our resources and maximise our academic and social development. I have lots of new ideas and I can use the resources already provided to us. I am confident and will voice concerns, appreciate achievements, and push for progress. With the ideas I have mentioned above and the energy I bring to the role, I believe I can truly deliver this duty.
