Election post

What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

A student's accommodation should be a compliment to their time at university, not a hinderance. As a Hall Representative, I want to prioritize problem solving, ensuring that any issues faced by students are dealt with as fast and comprehensively as possible. If something stops working, or someone struggles with their accommodation situation, I want to fix that before it becomes a hinderance.

I also want to focus on mental health and student welfare, creating socials promoting student wellbeing. Our halls should be places to relax outside of the constant action of UCl and London life.

What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

I have a background in leadership, student engagement and organization, which I will use to assist students however I can. I have experience on the committees of several university societies in the past, and I worked as a senior member for my previous school's student council and debate team. I've worked on managing communications between students and staff before and hope to do so again.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

If I'm chosen as your he Hall Representative, communication will be my priority. You'll be able to use me as a way to contact staff whenever there's an issue in your hall and I will work diligently to ensure that your concerns are both heard and addressed. No issue in halls should be left for long.

Also, I'm hoping to organize a pizza social for the halls at least once a month. As the students of Gower St, I believe we have a right to free pizza.
