Hi, everyone ! My name is Daniel Clarke, and I'm a second-year History student running for the position of Sponsorship Executive at UCL Guild.
Having been a Sponsorship Exec in the UCL Guild for the past year, I have collaborated with my team to organise a variety of events with sponsors such as Macquarie, Credit Suisse & Bank of America in the span of four months. This demonstrates my ability and desire to generate events that contribute to the development of our members.
My main goal for the remainder of the year will be to provide our members with a greater outlook on a wide range of industries. Having had experience across a wide range of industries, including real estate, asset management and consulting, I hope to organise more activities that could improve the career progression for our students. Here are some objectives that you can expect me to deliver:
- Continue to maintain our strong relationships with existing sponsors, while approaching more potential sponsors for collaboration
- Modify and renew sponsorship contracts to increase the number of sponsored events that we are able to organise in fields such as investment banking, corporate law, consulting and asset management
-Have commercial awareness talks to help our members develop their commercial knowledge of different industries.
I am confident you can vote for me to deliver our Guild into a better and brighter future!
As a passionate and driven university student with a strong interest in helping my peers succeed, I believe I have the qualifications, skills, and enthusiasm to excel in this role. Throughout my university and high school career, I have gained a wealth of experience in project management, communication, and networking. I have been an active member of several student organizations, where I have had the opportunity to organize and execute events, communicate with diverse groups of stakeholders, and build relationships with key contacts in the business world.
As the sponsorship executive for UCL Guild, I am eager to leverage my skills and experience to identify new collaboration and sponsorship opportunities and build strong relationships with companies and organizations. I am confident that I can help the UCL Guild achieve its goals and support students as they navigate their career paths. I believe that my communication, planning, marketing and project management skills will enable me to make a significant contribution to the UCL Guild and the university community.
A collaborative student body can really help their peers achieve outstanding career outcomes. During my time at UCL I have immensely benefited from Guild Society’s networking events, information sessions and mentorship, and wish to pay it forward by helping the society grow from strength to strength. For this reason, I am running for the Sponsorship Executive role.
My aim is to diversify our current sponsor pool, attracting more sponsors in data science, entrepreneurship and consulting (which are currently less represented), while maintaining and developing existing relations with sponsors. This way, I wish to increase exposure for members in as many fields as possible so they find the right career paths.
Having launched my school’s first Economics Club and organising events and competitions, I have experience in reaching out to clients and sponsors to establish mutual gains through collaboration. I am a team player with strong communication and social skills. I am ambitious, committed to the cause and receptive to others' ideas and suggestions. By working closely with the team, I hope to make your experience at Guild more informative, exciting and memorable.
