Hi, I’m Elizabeth!

I’m a second year Geography student and I would love to be involved in the Female Lead Society this year as Head of Women in the Workplace.

As I progress through my degree, I realise the thought of pursuing a career after university can start to feel daunting. Through this role, I hope to create a space for women from various fields, careers, and backgrounds to speak on their experiences in the workplace, and share advice and insight to us students.

I really value the qualities of this charity, as it seeks to inspire and empower women, so I hope to collaborate with other societies in the university to put on events (Q&As, socials, etc.) to showcase different opportunities available for us as we enter our future careers.

I think this role would be a great opportunity to help us explore the difficulties women can face throughout their careers, and what can and is being done to combat this.

As Head of Women in the Workplace, I would use my connections, interpersonal skills, and enthusiasm to help encourage the future women of our workplaces.
