The treasurer's primary role is to maintain and manage the society's funds and make sure all the events fall within the society budget. Other tasks include making sure funds are approved and paid, reimbursing expenses by members with the society budget, and sourcing external funding and sponsorships.

Hello future Diplomats!
As Treasurer, I will manage our books responsibly and attract numerous new sponsors in order to shape the intercultural dialogue in our society in the best possible way.
I have a great interest in finance and, in addition to international law, I am also specialising in banking and finance.
- In my role as Treasurer and Year Representative during my high school years, I raised £35,000 in total for a variety of occasions in corporation with different sponsors. As your treasurer, you will have a say in relevant expenditures through surveys, as I aim to create an inclusive environment. Because after all, the money that is entrusted to me belongs to you. At the same time, I have great experience in making processes efficient.
- Additionally, I worked for a member of the German parliament and built up a network of supporters for the election campaign. As Treasurer I will include my impactful network to minimize costs and support the committee to invite high-end guests.
- To finance our delegation in one of the largest simulations of the United Nations (SPUN) I successfully acquired public funds and would like to do so for us as well.
Bringing in these resources will enhance the quality and relevance of the events as I understand that this society is an important step in bringing your personal career vision into life.

I’m applying for the role of Treasurer because I want to ensure the society’s finances are well-managed and benefit all members. I will use the skills I acquired during my year as Treasurer of another organisation to do this in the best way possible.
My role as the Treasurer of the Rotary International Interact Club of Algiers (ICAS): ICAS is an NGO with the aim of relieving poverty through fundraising for food banks, providing necessities to impoverished rural villages and donating toys and clothes to orphanages. In this position, I completely restructured our process of spending approvals in order to phase out unnecessary internal expenses, obtained thousands of euros in backing from sponsors after leading multiple presentations, and semi-automated the collection of our charity’s membership fees.
