Election post
Not only do my skills and experience make me well-equipped for the Resident Choreographer role, but I am also passionate about creating a welcoming dance environment. In particular, I'm confident in excelling at the 3 main responsibilities: 1) coordinating finales, 2) supporting struggling choreographers, and 3) managing general committee tasks.
My strength lies in my adaptability and experience in diverse dance styles, from ballet to contemporary and hip-hop. This allows me to create dynamic finale numbers that suit dancers’ various skills and styles. My experience with various styles helps me better understand how to make movement look natural and visually engaging, allowing me to effectively support choreographers. I’m no stranger to creative blocks, so if anyone faces choreography challenges, I’m eager to lend a helping hand!
Despite this being my first year at UCL, I've actively engaged in dance events. I choreographed 'Jericho,' a contemporary piece, and participated in 2 other Freshers Show dances. Currently, I'm part of advanced hip-hop and contemp comps teams and will join the Blooms Show. Past experience in student council and dance team leadership roles further proves that I am a responsible and reliable candidate.
I’m committed to bringing out the best in everyone, dancers and choreographers alike. I’ll work to ensure that dance is always a source of joy and never stress. Put your trust in me, and you won't be disappointed!
