Conservative Society: President

In this unprecedented election, this President must renew our determination to be the finest society on campus, and indeed the greatest Conservative society in the country. I believe that as a Society, we provide students with an incredible opportunity to be in a forum to discuss all things politics, culture, and society. We give a perspective on the nation’s most pressing issues. We bring members in by providing a lively, exciting environment to discuss issues. 

I will steady the ship and ensure our Society is one where everyone feels welcome. I will build on the legacies of past Presidents, but also turn a new page. Now, more than ever, we must get back on track to serve our members: more events than ever, at lower prices. We are a historic society that faces a historic turning point: under me, we will lead from the front and reinvigorate the values that bring us together.

To our Freshers: you are our future, and I want to bring more people in from across all faculties to enhance the fresher representation in our Society. I am aware we have not had as many official events thus far. I can assure you we will have more, and you will be able to get to know us.

In terms of events, I will create a calendar with a more diverse range of activities to complement our traditional offering:

• Historical debates - should Caesar cross the Rubicon?
• The relaunch of The Caerulean, our fabled publication;
• Dinners and Socials.
