The purpose of my standing is to allow people to experience the amazing culture of Turkey. Both introducing this rich culture to people who don't know about it and making those who are part of the culture feel more at home. I participated in the organisation of Nevruz celebrations for the Turkish society and intend to promote a larger number of events such as these where we can display the full beauty of our culture.

The primary goal is the promoting of the Turkish culture and Turkish community of London. To do this I will work in close collaboration with other Turkish societies in London as well as embassies to push for the best representation of our people in this city. These events will include:

1. Socials

2. Speaker events both historical and career-focused

3. Turkish movie nights

4. Joint events with other UCL and non-UCL societies

5. Cultural celebrations

There will be polls allowing input from members outside the commitee to suggest ideas for new events.
