Robin Becker

I am excited to stand for the role of Treasurer in the Society for Global Prosperity. Having been inspired by the diverse, policy-facing dialogues from our speaker events, I am eager to contribute to this dynamic forum.

As Treasurer, I aim to nurture the Society's diversity, recognising that our strength lies in our broad undergraduate and postgraduate member base. I will endeavour to foster stronger relationships with other societies and NGOs, forging new partnerships that can enhance our innovative and interdisciplinary space.

With experience in account keeping, fundraising, and grant application during previous roles, I feel confident in my ability to handle the Society's finances. I am eager to apply these skills to manage our resources responsibly, ensuring they are allocated effectively to support our events, research, and campaigns.

In addition, I will focus on strategic financial planning to support the expansion of our event portfolio. It is my firm belief that each event serves as a catalyst for change, sparking conversations and actions that align with our mission of disrupting the status quo and championing a new socio-economic approach.

In conclusion, my candidacy for Treasurer is rooted in my commitment to the Society's vision and my financial acumen that will facilitate the Society's growth and expansion. I am eager to help ensure the Society for Global Prosperity continues to flourish as a platform for thought-provoking dialogue, impactful research, and tangible change.
