I really liked the society events as they were a perfect way to relax during times of stress and meet new people. I think that trying to run for welfare officer next year would encourage me to help more people which are trying to try new things but are scared.
Although I'm a beginner at inline skating, I have multiple veins of experience in welfare and mental health. Not only am I currently in my 2nd year of my Psychology and have been an intern at psychiatry clinics, but I have Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body qualifications. These experiences have given me multiple opportunities to develop my tolerance and empathy. I aim to be a psychotherapist, so I take the wellbeing of others seriously. Even my personal interests, such as philosophy {having chaired my secondary school's philosophy discussion group for a year}, mean that I'm an incredibly open-minded person and thus, you can always consider me someone who you can talk to. You can open up to me to de-stress about issues big or small, and can at least expect to come away with an interesting conversation~!
