Sci-Fi and Fantasy Society: Space at the Table Rep

Hi! I'm Mariam and I'm running for this position because Space at the Table is awesome and I want to ensure we keep having these fun and inclusive events regularly! 

Dimitra's done a phenomenal job this year organising it all, so I'm mainly just hoping that I can help ease the workload and make our get-togethers at Space at the Table more frequent. There are so many more exciting nerdy events I'd love to plan and run like Barbie movie marathons, queer TTRPGs, outings to the arcade, and naturally the return of our iconic Jackbox Game nights.

It goes without saying too that in a world that's so often transphobic and misogynistic I want to foster en environnement where you all feel safe, valued, and part of something special. It's not idealistic to believe that progressive and welcoming spaces can become the norm if we push hard enough for them.

(I can also promise the presence of many more sweet treats because I'm a firm believer in the power of fruit tarts.)
