Paediatric and Child Health Society: President

Hi!

I am Andrea and I am running for president of the Paediatrics and Child Health Society (PCHS). I co-founded PCHS last year to support an integrated and multidisciplinary approach to child and adolescent health as many actors are involved in promoting and delivering care including, parents, educators, doctors and many allied-health professions.

I look forward to the prospect of taking on a strategic role and leading PCHS in its second year. As president, I would like to enable the society to achieve new milestones by organising an international conference bringing together experts in child health, globally, to share their visions for improving child health at the community and global levels.

Our volunteering team this year has been successful in setting up some great opportunities for students to get involved, hands on, next term! I look forward to supporting their projects further and setting up new ones with them.

Cross-disciplinary approaches to improving overall child and adolescent health are crucial. I hope that we continue to reach UCL students across a range of disciplines by introducing subject chairs and through direct liaison with UCL course administrators.

I am confident that this society has a bright and brilliant future ahead. I would be honoured to take on the role of president next year and help PCHS achieve another successful year full of new opportunities, events and achievements!
