Hi! With us both having done the cardiovascular science iBSc, we would like to continue our journey in exploring and developing our cardiology-based knowledge. We would love to share our interest with others as part of the medical society. It is our belief that the skills we possess combined gives us a significant advantage. We have made links with individuals related to the cardiology field during our iBSc, and believe that we will utilise our connections to bring about new events, especially relating to the specialised field of paediatric cardiology, having formed connections with Great Ormond Street Hospital.
With our previous experience as part of the pre-clinical education subcommittee and our experience in other societies, we believe as part of the medical society we would be able to:
1. Provide opportunities to network with consultants
2. Lecture talks with current trainees in the cardiology field to find out how to build a portfolio related to the cardiology field
3. Continue to work with the education team to deliver tutorials in relation to cardiology
4. Provide opportunities to learn about current developments in the field
5. Deliver courses with practical skills in cardiology
6. Create a new subcommittee to deliver our aims
Electing us will be of benefit to those with an interest in cardiology, allowing them to explore the field, gain practical experiences and advice, to convert this interest into a future career.
